Nokia 2 reviews
The Nokia 2 is smaller and follows the same familiar design and shape as its older siblings. The lunettes are essentially large, but the floor is not even there. The display is a decent 5-inch LTPS IPS. The price in Pakistan for this device is pretty reasonable. The phone feels good and premium in the hand, but thanks to its aluminum frame, the back cover is a matte, rubber-like surface that allows for good grip, but difficult to keep fingerprints free.
The display is a decent 5.0-inch IPS LCD, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is not bad and has good, vibrant colors with an ideal saturation. Even then, the resolution is definitely low compared to other devices on the market. Nokia has probably opted to keep the resolution low.
Nokia’s self-built Android UI is pretty much the same as a collection of very few proprietary apps. Nokia says it will be fast and it has already been promised Android Oreo for Nokia 2. Keep in Stock Android is a good decision from Nokia because it works best on low-end devices like the Nokia 2, if it is not tampered with proprietary apps.
Stock Android or not, the performance of Nokia 2 is still lethargic due to the extremely low-end CPU, the Snapdragon 212. Only 1GB of RAM paired with the 212 pull out the Nokia 2 performance, though it has a near-shelf Android UI Hardware certainly offers good battery life at a low cost.
It is to be expected that the 5 MP low-end shooter is not suitable for pictures in good quality. However, it is acceptable to share a daily picture on social media. Important functions such as colors, contrast, functions and white balance are not satisfactory.
